MEDITATION

Why meditate? What are the benefits? Is there a difference between meditation and mindfulness? Will I need to sit on a mat on the floor and find perfect silence? These are a few questions I get from time to time.
Meditation is a skill that you practice. You can practice meditation anywhere. Walking meditation is amazing. Put a headset on and walk your favourite trail. You can sit comfortably anywhere and at any time as part of your day and practice the art of going within.

Meditation is like learning any other skill. Think of it like exercising a muscle that you’ve never really worked on before. It takes practice to get comfortable. There are lots of preconceived ideas about meditation. I hear from people every day that say ‘they can’t meditate .. they can’t stop the inner chatter” but Meditation is not about “emptying the mind,” “clearing the mind,” or “stopping thoughts.” The mind’s nature is to think. We meditate to see those thoughts more clearly.

Mindfulness is the ability to be present. That’s really all it takes. The present moment and you focusing on that moment.
It’s easier if you have a teacher. I’ve got you covered there!
